Dear creatures great and small and full of thirst, on Tuesday, April 15th we’d like to invite you, Créatúr’s wonderful Supporters, to our next in-person get together—a liquid rambling chat through the history of distilling in Belfast and County Down. From Inishowen’s urban market to the rise of Befast’s column stills to the recently refurnished brands of the Victorian city’s blending houses, there’s a lot to taste and talk about.
We’ll be meeting in the upstairs of The Duke of York (a watering hole that’s no stranger to whiskey history) and we’ll be joined by our friends Jarlath Watson of Echlinville Distillery and David Boyd-Armstrong of Rademon Distillery with a behind the scenes warehouse raid on some astonishing liquids, including samples from the Old Comber and Connswater mash bill revival projects.
This will be our first event in Belfast and a chance to shine the light of banter on some peculiarly northern nuances of whiskey history and the peculiarly entrancing flavours of our friends at Rademon and Echlinville.
